November 4, 2025Ray Brown Jr. is an American jazz and blues vocalist – born August 13, 1949 in New York City – and heir to a legendary musical lineage: his adoptive parents were jazz icons Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Brown. He made his debut with the album Slow Down for Love (2001), followed by Committed from the Heart (2003) — both records showcasing his warm, soulful voice and his talent for blending jazz, R&B and blues in a modern yet timeless style. For decades Ray has toured internationally — from North America to Asia — earning acclaim for his heartfelt performances, storytelling between songs, and his ability to bring the spirit of classic jazz into the present.
With every concert he seeks to do one thing: “make the audience feel better than they did when they arrived.”
