On June 24, 2022, legendary jazz guitarist Al Di Meola performed at Cavatina Hall in Bielsko‑Biała as part of the summer edition of Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa, one of Poland’s most prestigious jazz festivals. The evening celebrated the artist’s extraordinary career and featured his Acoustic Trio delivering intricate acoustic compositions, dynamic rhythms, and mesmerizing improvisations. Al Di Meola, known for blending jazz, flamenco, Latin, and world music influences and for collaborations with legends like Return to Forever, John McLaughlin, and Paco de Lucía, was also honored with the Anioł Jazzu (Jazz Angel) statuette for his outstanding contribution to jazz. Cavatina Hall, renowned for its world‑class acoustics and elegant design, provided an intimate yet powerful setting, allowing the audience to fully experience the virtuosity of Di Meola and his trio. The concert was beautifully documented by photographer Krzysztof Grabowski, whose images capture both the energy of the performance and the subtle nuances of the musicians’ expressions. The combination of a legendary artist, a prestigious award, the exceptional venue, and Grabowski’s evocative photography made this performance a memorable highlight of the 2022 summer festival.
